Using the Newborn Nest with a Bean Bag
This month is all about the transition I'm going through after I've ditched bean bag posing...that's right, after nearly 15 years of using some form of a bean bag -- from a literal bean bag from Walmart when I first started, to various floor models, to the Paloma Schell system for nearly a decade...I've fallen in love with the Newborn Nest from the Newborn Nerds and I realized it just works better with a table!
So come along on this new adventure for me, watch me mess up, figure it out and re-learn some poses that I'm struggling with!
Then take a trip back in time (two months ago) when I was using a bean bag to watch the last Collective video ever shot on one! Focusing on bean bag posing with a new assistant!

I was so tired of struggling with posing, lighting, confidence in myself, my work...every session was so stressful. I had been following Rachel's work for years and purchased a few of her other videos so I jumped on the opportunity to have constant learning! I was instantly in tears when things just started clicking...lighting was the biggest struggle for me. After watching the lighting video it just clicked and I haven't struggled since! Posing was another stress. Then she started doing the deconstruction series and everything just made sense!
