Over the past decade, I’ve been traveling to the heart of the desert for family sessions, but it’s been nearly 8 years since I taught a workshop in Phoenix! This year, I’ll be offering both a family workshop, along with opening up new Phoenix client sessions to book! The family workshop will include two hours worth of location scouting, hands on shooting, and I’ll be photographing each attendee to have new headshots! Then, our family model will arrive for a 45 minute session where attendees will mostly be observing how my session flow works — with the ability to ask questions the entire time!
Those wanting to book Family sessions with me while I'm in AZ can do so by emailing the team below. It will be extremely limited to five full 1.5 hour sessions, with multiple locations available to choose from.
November 2nd 2023
Total due: $850 USD
( $500 retainer to book, for payment plans email Hello@rachelvanovne.com)
Rachel is waiving the travel fee for full family sessions booked in Ariozna during the first week of the workshop. E-mail the RVP team to book your spot today! Limited sessions available, first come first serve bases.
$400 USD retainer with the final payment due 30 days before the session date. Payment plans available.
After nearly a decade of teaching, I’ve learned that NO ONE learns the same way. Some people learn better from a 1:1, some do better in a large group. Some need to be hands on, others need to watch. Some people need help with only one pose or lighting, others need help with EVERYTHING. So I decided to start an entire new form of workshops, and that's the Fly on the Wall, or observation style, workshop!
These workshops are affordable, relaxed, fun and still jam packed full of knowledge! We’ll meet up and go over set up and prep, then everyone (limit ten attendees) can sit back (or hover over my shoulders) and watch me shoot an entire session start to finish. The entire time, attendees can ask questions, take behind the scene shots to help them remember positioning and light placement, and observe how my sessions flow!
Afterwards, we’ll get cleaned up and head out to dinner…preferably someplace that has tacos and margaritas!
Fly workshops are great for both beginners who want to have a good foundation of knowledge for their business, long-time photographers who need to brush up on a few things, someone who struggles with lighting, people with social anxiety who can stay quiet if they’d like and let others ask questions, and people who like to have fun/relax while learning at the same time!
